The Decatur Wayne Farms facility was recently honored with a safety award at the 2012 National Safety Conference for the Poultry Industry in Ponte Vedra, Fla.

The Joint Industry Safety and Health Council recognized the Decatur facility with an award of distinction, the highest accolade offered at the conference.

Awards were based on the implementation of innovative safety and health programs, as well as injury statistics during a three-year period at the facility.
